This book is the memoir of Helen Breger, a well known East Bay artist. My friend, Kelly Ball and I took on the project of making an edition of 10 of these handmade artist books for Helen. Each book contains around 40 pages of text and 36 intaglio etchings. Kelly worked on editing and text layout and design. I printed all of Helen's etchings which serve as illustrations for the story. Kelly and I both designed the look and structure of the book and we both constructed them. "Lines" is sewn with waxed linen in a 4 needle Coptic bind.
