The language of myth has been used in all cultures throughout human history as a way of explaining creation, instilling values, maintaining traditions and assuaging death.

Hunters, as a book structure lends itself to the weaving of a narrative that speaks to the process of personal mythmaking. It draws from the collective pool of folklore, children’s books and rural storytelling to construct and maintain another world of myth with its own set of beliefs. The use of prints as a means to make multiples speaks to the cultivation of ideals and the continuation of tradition. The book is ultimately a story of rebirth; a belief in the spirit’s endurance and its connection with material space.
