"Fatherland" tells a story of a lost heritage. It speaks to the feeling of being displaced from part of your culture, and how that affects the building of identity. The book is told in English and German at once, creating sentences that are only partially understood. "Fatherland" is about reconnection and cultivation.
"Fatherland" was bound with waxed linen in a double needle Coptic bind.
