"Dolls" tells multiple stories of childhood interactions with dolls. The stories told by relatives of what they recall of the dolls versus my own personal memories. The "true" version of the story is sewn on the outside of each doll. When their bellies open, my inherent memories are revealed. The overall narrative gives the effect of a factual recounting of past events blended with the fantastical and surreal cast of memory.
