"Slake" is a very long Carousel and unfolds out to 6 feet approximately. It tells a very archetypal story of a hero searching for personal fulfillment represented by an external "treasure." The hero, in this case a small girl, begins with an emptiness and is driven onward throughout the story by a terrible need. Along the way she meets traditional characters such as the Ferryman, the Witch, the Oracle and the Wolf.
